Jim Damschroder
Financial Manager and Owner
Jim joined Ashcombe over a decade ago and has been integral in helping grow the business. He wears many hats as part of the leadership team at Ashcombe including finance manager, owner, and human resources. Jim can be found helping out at the registers when needed or assisting with one of the many events at Ashcombe throughout the year.


Deb Shearer
President
Deb Shearer is a pillar of Ashcombe. She began working here when she was 12 years old picking strawberries and vegetables. As time progressed she became proficient in other areas of business. She learned greenhouse growing, reatiling, and anything else that was required in the ever-changing greenhouse market.


Kerri Laudig
Assistant General Manager and Owner
Joining Ashcombe full time in 1997, Kerri has worked in many departments over the years. Starting with picking blueberries in the summer and filling flats after school, Kerri now manages the retail greenhouse, gift department and heads many events and classes. In her free time she enjoys gardening, shopping, crafts, camping and traveling with her family.


Brandon Kuykendall
Nursery and Garden Supply Manager
In one way or another Brandon has been in the horticulture industry for over 20 years, 15 of those with Ashcombe. He's passionate about hydrangeas and viburnums. When not looking for the newest varieties of shrubs and perennials to sell at Ashcombe, he can be found spending time with his family. The Kuykendall's enjoy camping, gardening, hiking, birding, and sporting events.


Margaret Krausse
Café Manager
Margaret is our Head Cook and Café Manager. Food rolling out of the Ashcombe kitchen are inspired by Margaret's roots in Dutch cooking. She is always thinking up new recipes for the Country Café or whipping up a tried and true customer favorite like her famous Chicken Pot Pie, Hog Maw, and Meatloaf. Stop by the Country Café for a taste of traditional country home cooking.


Marsha Ackerman
Gourmet Foods Manager
Marsha joined the Ashcombe family 12 years ago as a cashier. She loves interacting with people and working at Ashcombe gives her the chance to do that! Marsha finds and stocks all of the gourmet food products on our shelves. She enjoys finding unique and fun food and kitchen products for Ashcombe customers to enjoy. She lives in Mechanicsburg with her husband and 3 children.


Monica McDade
Bakery Manager
Monica grew up watching her dad cook and bake. She fell in love with being his sidekick in the kitchen. Since she was 17, she has been moving from bakery to bakery learning and growing as a baker and cake decorator. She fell in love with cake decorating as a result of her creativity and her artistry. Besides her love of baking; you can find Monica drawing, playing with her fur baby Sofie, or enjoying the company of her friends and family.


Amber Bahn
Plant Production Manager
Amber joined Ashcombe in fall 2022 after spending the previous 12 years growing a wide variety of plants in-ground including vegetables, herbs, and cut flowers. Amber is excited to learn more alongside her coworkers and is thrilled to join such a well-established organization with such strong roots in this community. Outside of work, she loves crafting, travelling, spending time with her husband (and other loved ones), and growing their garden a little better each year.


Megan Wilbur
Marketing Manager
Megan joined Ashcombe in June 2023 after spending almost a decade in Freelance Marketing. She is an avid gardener and plant collector living on a homestead like property with her husband, 3 children, and lots of fur babies. Although she is new to the Ashcombe management team, she has been a customer of Ashcombe her entire life and loves getting to market her passion – plants, people, and animals!
